Ryn's September 2014 Top 10

7. New Year!! It's the New Year for me because I like starting the year fresh in the fall. School starts, but also new programs and events. Things to get into a better routine.
6. Finding things at Pottery Barn to enhance our home.
5. Cafe Books in Canmore; I always, always, always, find the most interesting books there!
4. Fresh Pumpkin Loaf and Coffee
3. Listening to Louise Penny mysteries on my Audible.

10 Things I Learned in 2013
10. Forgive. You may not be able to go back to the way it was before, but you can certainly let things go and move on in a different vein. Just leave anything ugly, out of your spirit.
9. Be thankful for NOW; always NOW. Tomorrow could bring something that changes the direction of your life. It may be a rougher road tomorrow, so if it's great today…. make sure you appreciate it!
9. Take on a new challenge. It keeps you ever-evolving, every growing, ever better! Reward your efforts!
8. Be the one who creates the trend, not follows it. If you like it, go with it. Wear it if you like it - decorate your surroundings in your own style and in the comforts that make you most happy…
7. Make time to do those little extras in life… they are the things that make your life SO rich. Order room service, get your nails done, stop for a good latte at a fine cafe, drink a glass of sparkling wine (or Champagne) without having a specific reason, wear something sparkly even if you're just at home in your pj's. You only live this one day, once. Make it matter!
6. Days come that are full of stress and drama, tragedy and loss. Some days are just bad news. These do pass. Good news does come again. And on days like this, it's an opportunity to see God minister to our need and provide us peace that passes all understanding.
5. It's pointless to compare your own journey with someone else's. They maybe have what you do not, but the reverse is always true. Relish in EVERY detail of your life. It is YOURS alone. Similar experiences are not the SAME experiences. Cherish YOUR life.
4. Unique moments should ALWAYS be noted; good times ALWAYS be recorded, and those special adventures should ALWAYS be celebrated!
3. Home IS the best comfort.
2. It's SO exhilarating to try something new and excel at it beyond your expectations! I just adore making my OWN jam!!!
1. God DOES, I repeat *DOES* care about our details and our needs.
10 Things I Learned in 2012
10. If you know your choice is the right thing, then make the decision. Who cares if it shocks the audience. It's usually those who DO what they desire that create the new trend, the fad, or the lifestyle. Those who are shocked are usually jealous you had the nerve to do it!
9. You CAN be all that and a tube of Pringles!
8. Everyone has something to offer. If you show the world your abilities and are confident; your passion and joy are obvious, they will want what you offer!
7. Taking a big risk can mean change for the better, less stress, and calmer personal seas.
6. It's hard to realize you can outgrow people. This is not a negative thing. You need to keep on your journey, focus on your goals, step-ahead with confidence. If those in your life don't share your focus, or situationally are in your rear-view mirror, it's okay to move ahead. Sometimes both parties need eyes elsewhere to grow and be who they need to be.
5. Make-up, jewelry, scarves, hats and purses fit any size person. Dress and bling like you matter at any size. It matters NOT AT ALL what others thing. How you feel determines your confidence.
4. If your shoe doesn't fit, change it. What is YOUR shoe? A job? Relationship? Lifestyle? Don't spend your whole life "wearing the wrong shoe", you'll just be miserable.
3. Being healthy doesn't necessarily mean a number on a scale. Some thin people are miserable and stressed out every day. Stress is not healthy. Exercise, eat right, enjoy some cake once-in-awhile and be happy. As long as you are doing good things, things that make you happy, you are healthier than most.
2. Relaxing is not being lazy, but rather it's healthy living; giving your body some quality recharging is one of the best things you can give it.
1. Most excuses aren't good reasons at all. Often they are just other's excuses for you anyway.
10 Things I Learned in 2011

8, You can always find something new to do; always grow your talents and interests and experiences.
7. It's quite possible that Tim and I are the most perfectly matched couple in the whole world. I'm not kidding. We're totally in sync. It's amazing.
6. One person can have unlimited talents. It's not just Martha Stewart who has ideas and can implement them with finese. haha
